Omar Apollo Releases His New Album, ‘God Said No’

Omar Apollo has unveiled his new album, God Said No. This project is Apollo’s sophomore studio effort, following the release of Ivory in April 2022. Spanning 45 minutes and featuring 14 tracks, the album includes a single collaboration with Mustafa on the fifth track, “Plane Tress.” While primarily a pop album, God Said No also delves into R&B, indie pop, and funk, reflecting Apollo’s diverse musical influences and style.

The album explores themes of love, identity, personal growth, and self-acceptance, presenting a mix of energetic melodies and intimate ballads that vividly narrate Apollo’s experiences and emotions.

In conjunction with the album release, Apollo announced the “God Said No” Tour, which will encompass 33 global shows. The tour kicks off in Indianapolis on August 20th and concludes in San Diego on October 11th, with stops in major cities including New York, Houston, Boston, Atlanta, Chicago, Tokyo, Vancouver, Seattle, Austin, Miami, and more. Select shows will feature supporting acts such as Kevin Abstract, Ravyn Lenae, and Malcolm Todd.
